Target your speaking engagements

Rather than speaking at any Continuing Legal Education or other speaking opportunity you receive, consider how this opportunity fits into your marketing plan. Will the attendees be your target market? Will there be people attending that may refer you to your target or ideal client?

If not, pass. Then use your time to find the right occasion for you to speak that will expose you to your target market.
