Tips for Change

Practicing Gratitude

One of the most important ways to create abundance and prosperity in your life is to become aware of the many things in your life that you are grateful for.

Taking the time to be aware of all you are grateful for will put your life into perspective.

Check all those things you are grateful for:

My determination.
My intelligence.
My successes.
My failures. For they taught me a lot.

Books Supporting Change

Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy! By Sarah Ban Breathnach is a collection of daily essays that reflect from a woman's perspective (although it will also offer insight to my male readers) acceptance of what is so in life. If you would like more serenity, authenticity, and pleasure in your life consider reading an essay a day from this book.

Simple Abundance was of value and proved insightful when I shifted from practicing law to coaching.

The book is probably best known for Sarah's suggestion to create a Gratitude Journal – everyday write down five things you are grateful for. Try it.

Paul Hawken "Always leave enough time in your life to do something that makes you happy, satisfied, even joyous. That has more of an effect on economic well-being than any other single factor."

Personal Notes

Talk about change – I only moved 23 miles, but I have had to get use to many, many changes in my life – living with someone, my name change and all the work that goes along with that, my new address (some of you know the difficulty I have had with that), finding new places to get groceries, gas, photocopies, whatever.

I'm very grateful for the loving support from Maury – the guy that makes all the change worth it, my coach, and my friends that understand the paradox of my being happy while still feeling loss for what is left behind.
